A couple of years ago on Christmas market I bought some tweed yarn. I absolutely wanted to make a coat or jacket with it for my little daughter. And only now I had an idea and some time to make it happen.
Below you can see this jacket made with tweed yarn. Let me tell you – in person it looks so much better! I can’t wait to make some photos with Sophie wearing it. I had to make it without collar because I didn’t have enough yarn, but I think it looks great anyway. It is actually an option to make two different jackets – one with collar, another without it.
The pattern includes three sizes: 6-12 months , 18-24 months and 3-4 years. You can make it smaller or larger playing with the gauge – using lighter yarn for smaller size or thicker yarn for bigger size.
The skill level is easy/intermediate just because you have to work FP dc and BP dc (front and back post double crochet) stitches. I do explain how to make them in the pattern as well. Otherwise it is a really easy pattern and it works up quickly.
P.S. As you probably know last week we had big fight with some fraudulent websites who were reselling my and many other designer’s patterns. So please note, that I sell my patterns only in my official shops mentioned above. If you see them on any other website – do not buy, because very often they are simply using our photos to attract people and don’t actually have the patterns. And if you see such website, please, let me know. Thank you so much!
