Hello, lovelies! I hope you are enjoying summer so far! We really do, although we are having a busy one. In June I travelled with kids to my home town – Riga, Latvia where we spent 3 weeks with my family. We really enjoyed it and time passed so fast. For awhile I didn’t travel alone with the kids and it was kind of a surprise to see them all grown up, responsible and real helpers.

While in Riga, I had a chance to crochet a bit, but as I didn’t take my laptop it was really hard to do any extra work and write patterns. So, instead, I was generating ideas! And can’t wait to show you what I came up with!

Here are the two first dresses! Pima Cotton Dress I finished before we left. I loved Ultra Pima Cotton yarn! Thank you so much for suggesting it to me when I asked about great cotton yarns! This one is a good one! The dress turned out fabulous – soft but with great texture! The pattern is available on Etsy, Ravelry and Craftsy!

The second one is a Rose Blush Dress (pictured in the first photo). I never could find Red Heart yarn here in Italian yarn shops, so when I spotted it Riga’s shop I had to get some. I fell in love with this shade and immediately had an idea how to use it. Of course, Red Heart Soft yarn is pretty warm and for summer, especially if you have a hot one it is not good. But for this pattern, you can use any other worsted weight yarn  – cotton, bamboo or viscose as well. It is such a universal design that it looks great with any kind of yarn. And Red Heart Soft yarn you can use for autumn or spring dress when it is still chilly. The dress can be worn over a t-shirt, even the one with long sleeves. It will look super cute either way.  The pattern is available on Etsy, Ravelry and Craftsy!

And you can use coupon code – MPVBLOG on Etsy and Ravelry for 30% discount!

Happy crocheting!

  1. I was wondering what happened to you. So look forward to your patterns. Glad you had some time to relax. We all need that and it’s even better when you can spend it with your children. Welcome back!!!

  2. Beautiful, and can’t wait to see even more lovelies you’ve designed and magically transformed from thoughts and dreams to hook and yarn! 🙂 What day and time does this coupon code expire, please, Vita?
