I am coming to you today with two news! Well, actually three news!
First, there is a new pattern release! I designed it especially for LoveCrochet website using MillaMia Naturally Soft Aran yarn. I just can’t tell enough how much I loved this yarn. It is so soft, so wonderful to work with. I am usually not a big fan of Aran or worsted weight yarns. Often the crochet fabric is just too stiff, even if I crochet loose. If you follow my work for some time you probably know that my favorite yarn weight is DK, and that’s still true. But this yarn was fantastic. The fabric is so soft, drapes beautifully and I heard it wears very well too. That part I still have to check!
Sizes go up to 8 years, but check all the details about the pattern here. Also, it is still available for special price, but for a very short time.
Another thing I did recently was updating my old Lace Cardigan. I forgot how much I loved it. It is such an easy and fun pattern. I really enjoyed working on it again and now it includes many more sizes, clearer instructions and better layout. If you purchased it before, check your Ravelry or Craftsy library for update. If you purchased it on Etsy, you can ask for an update through Etsy Conversations. Otherwise, you can get your copy in any Mon Petit Violo shop and use coupon code TWENTYOFF for 20% discount (on Etsy and Ravelry only).
And the last thing, there is a new Inside Crochet issue out there (101) and it has my Pearl sock pattern in it. Well, crochet socks is a problem for many I know. They are easy to make but often not very comfortable to wear if you are walking a lot. I live in a climate where I do not need to wear warm socks in my boots during the winter, so mainly all my crochet socks are for home use only. I love to wear them at home and don’t have any issues at all. But I think there is one thing which could solve all the crochet sock issues – the yarn. For the first time I used for my socks Malabrgio Sock yarn and it is awesome! They really felt like knit socks and while I was shooting them I didn’t feel any stitches on soles like you usually do with crochet socks. It could be that it was just too brief period of time and I will test them more when it gets cold again, but I was really impressed with this yarn, how soft and wonderful it is for crochet socks. Give it a try!
Well, that’s it! I hope you like all my updates and happy crocheting!
