As a crocheter I always try to learn (or invent) something new, fix some old issues and find new solutions to make the garment more comfortable and easy to wear. We all now that foundations chain is not very elastic and that might be an issue when working top down. Top down is my favorite technique to make dresses, cardigans and even sweaters. And while there are different ways how to make that collar as elastic as possible, I always wanted something more.
With this dress I finally managed to find a new way. You probably know chainless foundation technique? My technique is similar but it actually has chains in it, so you can’t really call it chainlees. It creates beautiful texture, is very elastic and the collar will not need any extra work to look presentable and neat.
I encourage to try it and I am sure you will want to incorporate it in other garments as well. I surely do!
And now about the dress! The Like a Pink Cloud Dress has a wonderful texture. There are two options included for skirt part – more straight one (suggested for smaller sizes as it is flared just enough), and more flared (suggested for larger sizes to make it more flowy). It is 100% seamless and is so fun to make. I am sure you will not get bored with this one!
The pattern is available on Etsy, Ravelry and LoveCrochet. Today you can still get it for special price!
Happy crocheting!
