Herringbone Gathered Cowl with buttons

Have you ever tried herringbone stitch? I am not sure for which reason it is not so widely known as some other crochet stitches, but it’s so fun! It makes such a nice texture. Yes, it can be a bit tricky at the beginning but when you get used to it, it’s so simple!

This buttoned cowl is entirely made with herringbone stitch and will be a great versatile piece in your autumn/winter wardrobe. You can wear it as a cowl, buttoned up or just on one button. You can wear it as a hoodie too. Pattern includes three sizes – baby/toddler, child and adult.

Pattern is available on Etsy, Craftsy and Ravelry.

Happy crocheting!
