One if my favorite items to make are blankets! Why? Well, it is one of those items which you can crochet without much thinking when you memorize the pattern. My favorite way to crochet is while watching some nice movie or TV show, however, it becomes impossible when I have to count and make notes for a pattern. Besides, it is also very relaxing and somehow therapeutic. At some point, your brain is free to think about whatever you want as you are not concentrating that much on what you are doing, you are on kind of auto pilot. I often get the best ideas for future projects while making a blanket, as I have plenty of time to think about – what’s next?! Do you do it as well? Do you like making big crochet projects? I definitely do.
And so with all that said, I have a new blanket pattern for you! It is a Ruffle Blanket! I love ruffles! And blanket with ruffles is so cute! Don’t worry that you have to work with two colors! I know it can seem intimidating. First of all, you can make it in one color as well! Or just use the second color for ruffle edging! This pattern looks gorgeous either way, I tell you! But if you decide to make it in two colors – do not cut the yarn after you switch to another color. To weave in all those ends would drive you crazy. Just carry up the side of the blanket second color, and as you are working two rows with each color you will be able to switch colors without any problem.
You can get the pattern on Ravelry, Etsy, and Craftsy! On Ravelry and Etsy you can use coupon code MPVBLOG for 30% discount for your entire order. Happy crocheting!
