I finally designed something for us ladies too. I told you, this year I was going to work on more designs for adults and this is the first one. I personally love how it turned out. The yarn was gorgeous (I used MillaMia Naturally Soft Merino), the pattern keeps your interest and the fit is great.
I included sizes from XS up to XL. I know, many of you will ask for XXL and bigger sizes, but I must be honest with you. I always have issues with bigger sizes. I don’t have anyone around me wearing those sizes and checking the fit is not possible. On another hand I don’t want to just add more stitches and don’t care if the shaping will be good. I am always afraid to disappoint you. And I know making XXL and up size cardigan is a big work and it needs to be perfect at the end. That’s why I didn’t add those sizes as I can’t guaranty the perfect fit. But I do have a suggestion if you want to try it at your own risk!
First of all, check the XL size measurements. The cardigan is designed with positive ease and the size is quite generous. If it is still not enough you can simply play with the gauge. If you achieve 19sts per 10cm instead of suggested 20sts, you will increase the chest size by 5cm or 2in, if 18sts – by 10cm or 4in. Of course, you have to check the fit often and see if it works for you.
Well, I hope you will love it as much as I do!
