There is a new sweater pattern just released, my friends! It is a pattern for Raindrops Sweater!
Initially this sweater was designed with a fuzzy yarn, like Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk. Using fuzzy yarns, in crochet can be scary, but the result is so worth it. You get super cute finished item, light as a cloud, but so warm at the same time. There is so many wonderful alpaca or mohair yarns to try and I always felt sorry to avoid them.
If you aren’t ready to use fuzzy yarns I included an alternative. As you can see (white sweater) it will look wonderful with a regular worsted weight yarn too. For this particular sweater I used Drops Nepal yarn, but as it a very classic worsted weight yarn there are enormous amount of alternative yarns.
Pattern also includes two options for back opening – buttoned and tied. You can choose which one to use. I personally love both!
There is also variety of sizes – starting from 6 months and going up to 10 years.
First 100 buyers on Ravelry can get this pattern with 30% discount with coupon code FIRST100 ! Hurry up, few chances left! Make sure the code is accepted at the checkout, I will not be able to refund the difference.
Pattern is available on Ravelry, Etsy, Craftsy and LoveCrochet
Happy crocheting!
These sweaters are beautiful.
I purchased a pattern a few years ago….Crocheted lace cardigan, which I love;. I have made it in 6-12 month size & 6-7 years size. I just started to make a couple if sweaters for Christmas in the 3-5 years size and the pattern does not seem eiggt. Rows one to six have less stitches than rows one to six for the 6-12 month size. Please HELP!. Thank you.
Hello,
Please, write me to monpetitviolondesigns@yahoo.com and I will send you an updated version. It’s true there were less chains for bigger size, but only because for babies I usually make collars bigger, for more comfortable fit. It is not a mistake. However, the pattern was updated and you can get new version.
Best wishes,
Vita
