Hello!
Welcome to Mon Petit Violon! My name is Vita and I am a designer and curator of this blog.
I learned to crochet and knit when I was a little girl and since then I always loved crafts.
For me it is just a part of the live, like breathing and eating. If you are crocheter as me, probably you know what I mean!
Already in my early years of crocheting and knitting, I always tried to invent my own patterns. I guess, already at that time I was ready to create my own designs, but still did know how to do it. Many years later I finally figured it out! And here is the result!
In this little space of mine I am sharing my love for crocheting, sharing patterns, stitches and crochet tips. I hope you will join me!

Happy crocheting!

With love,
Vita

  1. Hi Vita!
I was very happy to find your blog!
I am a crochet lover, and coming to live at Trieste this summer. The kids at school so I’ll have a lot of time to crochet…
I loved your work, a lot to learn from you..
Are there any yarn shops in Trieste? I need to know whether to bring a yarn stoke with me.
    All the best
    Reut

  2. Hi Reut,

How interesting! And where are you coming from?
Yes, there are a few yarn shops here, but I almost never buy anything from them… they are just too expensive… I prefer online shops or buy some local yarn on the markets, when it is possible.

    Best,
    Vita

    1. Hi Vita!
I’m coming from Israel, and here you can find nice yarn, not expensive. We are moving to Trieste in the summer, but this week I will be in Trieste for house selecting (and looking at yarn and fabrics to..).
If you can, please send me an address of one of these shops.
      Thanks!
      Reut.

  4. Dear Vita, sorry if I write here but I can’t find an e-mail address. I’m Sandra from Italy and I’m the owner of the Italian blog http://theslowcatwalk.blogspot.it/ which deals with sustainable fashion.
I’ve discovered your creations on Pinterest few months ago and immediately love them. With other Italian bloggers I run a weekly column about marinière and breton style called #rubriga: a wordplay between “rubrica” that in Italian means column and “riga” which meaning is stripe. Last tuesday was my turn and I’ve featured one of your creations (obviously linked back to your site) on my post. Hope you appreciate it:)
    Best regards
    Sandra

  11. Hello Vita, I love your patterns. I have a question about your shawl that was included in the ‘Netflix bundle. Your pattern say to continue with row 5 and 6 until you have the desired width, but could you please let me know the width of the shawl in the picture for the pattern. It looks lovely and it sitting well. I would like to make one the same size. Thank you. Cath

  15. Vicky Westerling

Thank you for your beautifull patterns!

  16. Hi Vita I’ve just came across your work and it is adorable I’ve purchased a couple of your patterns thus far .
I have a question about them before I begin I am wondering if your crochet terms are uk or American terms as I’ve looked over the pattern and it doesn’t mention which it is . Thank you . Liz

    1. Hi,
Thank you for buying my patterns!
All my patterns are written in US crochet terms. Tip: it is easy to check – if the pattern has sc stitch it means it’s in US terms. In UK terms sc doesn’t exist. Hope this helps. Vita
